Chiropractic
What is Chiropractic?
The word ‘Chiropractic’ means ‘do by hand’ and originates from Ancient Greek, where chiro- means ‘hand’ + and praktikos ‘practical’, from prattein ‘do’. Chiropractic is a practice based on the diagnosis and manipulative treatment of misalignments of the joints, especially those of the spinal column, which are believed to cause other disorders by affecting the nerves, muscles, and organs.

Posture / Spinal Correction
Scoliosis:
This condition is the most well-known abnormal spine curvature. It is defined as a sideways C- or S-shaped curve of the spine, affecting the middle back, lower back, or both.
Kyphosis:
If your upper back is rounded with a curve greater than 50 degrees, you may have kyphosis.
Lordosis:
Also called swayback, lordosis is characterised by an exaggerated inward curve of the lower spine.
These spinal misalignments can be congenital or occur during later years and can have a negative impact on someone’s quality of life.
Forward Head Carriage:
It is a very common neck misalignment which is caused mainly by modern ways of life. It can affect people who work in offices for long hours or people with kyphosis.
All the spinal misalignments should not be addressed solely, but as a part of a complete treatment for whole spine as our spine is one unit.
If you’re tired of your abnormal spine curvature getting in the way of your daily activities and impacting your physical appearance, book now to arrange an appointment with one of our practitioners. We’ll help you decide which treatment path is right for you as we offer a variety of treatment options and we can assess your condition with precision through the use of our on-site digital X-ray facilities.
Massage
In our recently refurbished, relaxing and calm centre we offer a variety of Massage treatments, such as Sports, Deep tissue and Lymphatic. Massage can be very helpful for treating mental and emotional stress and can compliment Chiropractic care effectively. Studies show that Chiropractic and Massage have great results as Chiropractic aims to align the spine, restore normal nerve function and muscle tension, whereas Massage therapy will help relax any muscle tension you might have.
